NEW LENOX – On April 23, Lincoln-Way West hosted the second annual Lincoln-Way Psychology Bowl. The competition is held to help prepare students for their Advanced Placement psychology test, which was administered May 1.
Each school was represented in the competition as a total of eight teams battled for the title. Including volunteers, approximately 75 students participated in the event. Each team sported matching T-shirts for the competition.
Two rounds of scholastic bowl-style competition resulted in a final round of competition between Lincoln-Way West and Lincoln-Way Central. After answering questions surrounding an entire year’s worth of material, the Warriors took the victory and secured the traveling trophy – the Hoffman Cup – for the second year in a row. The trophy is an ode to retired Lincoln-Way teacher, Phil Hoffman, who began the AP Psychology program at Lincoln-Way.
