Joliet Scout earns Eagle rank

Life Scout Zander Parise of Boy Scout Troop 258 from the Joliet Elks Lodge completed his Eagle Scout project June 8 for the Forest Preserve District of Will County. He built seven cages and, with the help of his volunteers, installed them to protect the federally endangered Leafy Prairie Clover that currently grows in only three states. Zander Parise is in the front left side of the picture, Jeff Parise (Scoutmaster) behind him along with the volunteers from this troop and Forest Preserve District of Will County. Zander Parise will be a freshman this year at Ottawa Township High School.
