JOLIET – DuPage Medical Group Charitable Fund has partnered with the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic to launch the “Close the Gap” campaign.
DuPage Medical Group Charitable Fund has made a grant of $25,000 toward the $110,000 revenue recovery goal in an effort to help the clinic close its financial gap and end its deficit.
The Will-Grundy Medical Clinic has been the only clinic providing care free of charge in Will and Grundy counties. Both counties rank in the bottom 25 percent in the state for access to care due to a shortage of medical providers in the area. The clinic has been caring for these underserved counties over the past 30 years, providing nearly 150,000 patient visits.
Founded in 1999, DuPage Medical Group is the largest independent, multi-specialty physician group with more than 600 physicians in over 80 suburban Chicago locations in DuPage, Cook, Kane, Kendall, Grundy and Will counties.
The Will-Grundy Medical Clinic is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization that provides free medical and dental care to adults who have no health insurance or medical care entitlements and meet income guidelines.
Care is provided by physicians, dentists and other professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to the Clinic. For information, or to make a contribution, visit www.willgrundymedicalclinic.org.
