HOMER GLEN – Will County Sheriff’s police responded to a call about a home invasion at 9:18 a.m. Saturday in Homer Glen.
Three unknown men entered a residence without permission in the 14000 block of South Suffolk Court. They displayed a handgun and demanded money from the owner of the home, Will County Sheriff’s Deputy Chief Tom Budde said. Shortly after they entered, the offenders were startled and fled without any cash or injury to the victim.
Budde said it appears the suspects were in the house for less than a minute.
The three suspects were described to be in their mid-20s with average builds and were wearing heavy coats, gloves and ski masks.
The owner of the home was the only one in the house at the time, and he had a son who was probably outside somewhere at the time the suspects entered the house, police said.
Sheriff’s officers responded and searched the area without success.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
