LOCKPORT – Lockport police and an area family continue to search for a 20-year-old man, who was last seen more than a week ago.
Sean Joy, 20, last was seen about
10 p.m. March 21 at his home in Lockport, said Christina Joy, who identified herself as Sean’s aunt in public Facebook posts.
Christina said this has never happened before and Sean displayed no warning signs before going missing.
He is described as 6-feet, 2-inches tall, with a thin build, wearing glasses. Sean last was seen wearing a yellow or baby blue hoodie.
“We just want my baby brother home safely!” said Alison Joy, who was identified as Sean’s sister in a Facebook post.
The last information Lockport police received on his disappearance was that a witness might have seen him walking about 12:30 a.m. March 22 in the area of East Ninth Street and South State Street in Lockport, Lockport Deputy Police Chief Ron Huff said.
“We’ve heard nothing more from him since that time,” Huff said. “It’s always unusual when someone exhibits behavior they don’t usually do.”
Huff said police have no reason to suspect foul play is involved.
Anyone with information about Sean’s disappearance is asked to call Lockport police at 815-838-2131 and ask for someone in investigations.
