Plainfield Lion’s Club Donates $5,000 to C.W. Avery Family YMCA

The Lion’s Club of Plainfield recently donated $5,000 to the C.W. Avery Family YMCA in support of its new Diabetes Self-Management Program.

Designed for diabetics, pre-diabetics and caregivers, this seven-week program is free and open to the community. Using curriculum developed at Stanford University, classes will focus on healthy eating, exercise and blood sugar monitoring, among many other self-management tools.
