State Rep. Mark Batinick, R-Plainfield, will host a senior fair July 12 in Plainfield, according to a news release.
“This is the annual senior resource fair, which I host to help our local seniors find out about ways to find assistance in a number of areas, both government and nongovernment,” Batinick said.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 Route 59, Plainfield.
Refreshments will be served and displays and booths from several agencies and groups dedicated to serving local seniors will be available to browse. Attendees also can use a free shred truck until 11 a.m. Those wishing to take advantage of its service are asked to bring up to two paper bags per car.
Interested participants can call Batinick’s office at 815-254-0000.
