A Bolingbrook woman with a warrant for allegedly pushing a family member was arrested during a traffic stop Saturday.

On May 27, the Bolingbrook Police Department responded to a domestic battery about 7 p.m. in the 200 block of Hywood Lane in Bolingbrook, Lt. Anthony Columbus said.

The offender, Shannon Knoverek, 32, became angry because dinner was not cooked properly.

There was an argument in which Knoverek flipped over a glass table, which struck a 79-year-old female family member, causing a minor injury to her leg. She then pushed another family member against the wall, causing her to hit her head. Columbus would not elaborate about the victims’ specific family relation to Knoverek.

Knoverek fled the residence before officers arrived on the scene. An arrest warrant was issued for her on two counts of domestic battery and one count of aggravated battery to a person over 60 years of age.

On Saturday, officers took Knoverek into custody after a traffic stop. She was transported to the Will County jail and booked about 3 a.m. Sunday.

She is being held on $100,000 bond, of which she would have to post 10 percent, or $10,000, to be released. As a condition of her bond, Knoverek shall have no contact with the victims.

Knoverek was scheduled to appear in court Monday and again July 30.
