A pair of crashes disrupted traffic Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning on Interstates 55 and 80.
A northbound lane on I-55 was shut down just north of Arsenal Road about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in Channahon after a crash involving two commercial vehicles, Illinois State Police Trooper DeAnn Falat said.
One semitrailer side-swiped another, Falat said.
One of the tractor-trailers toppled onto its side and spilled containers of SlimFast all over the roadway.
Falat said about 3:50 p.m. Tuesday lanes were closed for a crash on eastbound I-80 at the Des Plaines River bridge in Joliet. Those lanes reopened about 30 minutes later, Falat said.
Lanes on I-55 reopened after 1 a.m. Wednesday.
