A woman was beaten by her boyfriend and his friend, police said.

On Thursday, officers were sent to Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center to speak with a woman who needed medical treatment after suffering injuries inflicted by her boyfriend, Arsha Robinson, 28, of the 1000 block of Arthur Avenue in Joliet, and his friend, Kayla Hardy, 26, of the 1900 block of Elgin Avenue in Joliet, police said.

The woman said Robinson invited her over earlier in the day, Joliet police Sgt. Darrell Gavin said, and when she arrived, she saw Robinson and Hardy were there.

She said she was upset that Hardy was there, and they got into an argument, Gavin said. She then said that Robinson and Hardy began beating her, he said, and Robinson at one point choked her until she lost consciousness.

Officers found and arrested Robinson and Hardy.

Robinson was charged with domestic battery and taken to the Will County jail. He is being held on a $7,500 bond.

Hardy was charged with battery and released on her own recognizance.
