Fall Walk of Hope set for Oct. 7 in Homewood

On Oct. 7, The Cancer Support Center will host its annual Fall Walk of Hope. This event will kickoff at the Homewood location of The Cancer Support Center located at 2028 Elm Road.

The Cancer Support Center also has a Mokena location.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the walk will begin at 9 a.m. The Fall Walk of Hope will be superhero-themed and all participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero while they enjoy the fun and interactive walk featuring games and refreshments.

Event proceeds benefit programs and resources at no charge to anyone living with a cancer diagnosis, as well as to their loved ones. Last year’s Fall Walk of Hope raised over $75,000 for The Center. For this year’s walk, The Center hopes to raise $90,000.

Registration for the Fall Walk of Hope is $30 for walkers 15 years and older, $15 for children between the ages of 5 and 14 and children under 5 are free. To register, visit www.cancersupportcenter.org and click on the Fall Walk of Hope logo.
