The Shorewood Lions Club recognized Troy Community School District 30-C 2018 October Students of the Month at the school district’s November school board meeting.

The Students of the Month are William B. Orenic Intermediate School sixth-graders Mandy Chen, Cohen Lesniak, Molly Murdock-Schey and Elijah Watt.

Troy Middle School seventh-grade Students of the Month are Kadi Baker, Joseph Boettger, Andres Munoz and Andres Robles. Eighth-grade Students of the Month are Carly Czyz, Boris Evdokimov, Trenton Marski and Mary Papandria.

Mackenzie Farkas, a TMS seventh-grader, not present at last month’s board meeting, was also recognized for being a September Student of the Month.

Lions Club President Noelle Viola said the students were selected by an advisory team on the basis of consistent effort, productive citizenship, positive attitude and participation.

In addition to certificates from the Shorewood Lions Club, the students received gift certificates from Pizza 4 U in Shorewood.
