Plainfield man wanted in Kendall, Kane counties on sex abuse charges arrested

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended a fugitive, Stephen M. Adams, 55, on Nov. 21 in the 6900 block of Clearwater Drive in Plainfield, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

Adams, a registered child sex offender, was wanted on a Kendall County warrant for aggravated criminal sex abuse and attempted aggravated criminal sex abuse. Adams also was wanted on a Kane County warrant for criminal sexual abuse, according to the sheriff’s office.

Bond for Adams on the Kendall County charges was set at $100,000, while his bond on the Kane County charge was set at $250,000.
