The University of St. Francis, in Joliet, Ill., serves 4,100 students nationwide, offering undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in the arts and sciences, business, education, nursing and social work.

College Consensus recently rated University of St. Francis in Joliet as No. 7 in its top 10 listing of Best Colleges and Universities in Illinois.

The system also named USF a “Best Regional (Midwest) University” as No. 5, a “Best Catholic College and University” as No. 18, and one of its “100 Best Small Colleges” as No. 46 earlier this year, according to a news release from the school.

“The University of St. Francis is honored to be named by the College Consensus as one of the 10,” USF President Arvid C. Johnson said.

This latest ranking comes just two weeks after USF was named in Money magazine’s “Best Colleges for Your Money” as No. 8 in Illinois and No. 189 in the nation, and also was tabbed a “Best Midwest College” by the Princeton Review.

“The College Consensus only utilizes reputable ... ranking systems, which publish the raw scores behind their rankings,” according to its website.
