The White Oak Library District's annual Winter Reading Challenge will begin Dec. 10, 2018, and run through Jan. 11, 2019.
This year’s challenge is entitled “A Winter Reading Wonderland”, and children, teens, and adults will be encouraged to approach their cold weather reading as an opportunity to step into a wonderland of stories and information.
Children and teens can join any time during the five-week program – either online or in person at one of the White Oak libraries located in Crest Hill, Lockport, and Romeoville. Each child will receive a fun log to track their reading, and teens will be navigating a Bingo card to indicate how much they have read.
Adults, this year, will have an opportunity to enter a drawing every time they finish a book or audio-book, simply by completing an entry ticket at the adult services desk – no registration required. Other features include games and activities.
