Joliet mayor gives State of the City speech Feb. 25 and 26

Mayor Bob O’Dekirk will deliver his annual State of the City address two days in a row next week.

O’Dekirk will first make the address Feb. 25 at a member luncheon for the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

On Feb. 26 he will deliver the speech at Joliet Junior College.

O’Dekirk every year gives his State of the City address a second time at JJC, where there is no charge for attendance and the event is open to the public. The event will be at noon in the U-Building Auditorium on Main Campus, 1215 Houbolt Road.

The Chamber luncheon is open to nonmembers, but there is a fee for attendance.

The fees are $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers.

The Chamber requires reservations. The deadline is Thursday. To make reservations, visit www.jolietchamber.com or call 815-727-5371.

The Chamber luncheon will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Renaissance Center, 224 N. Ottawa St.
