The village of Romeoville announced plans for more development projects coming to the Weber Road corridor.
American Family Care presented a concept plan for a new urgent care facility near the intersection of Weber and Renwick roads, just south of the McDonald’s, according to a news release. The 3,500-square-foot building would be reached via the access road that runs behind the property.
A U-Haul project is also moving forward. U-Haul was approved for a new 46,000-square-foot facility, complete with 626 rental lockers and an area for truck and trailer rentals. The 3.3-acre site is located northeast of Weber Road and Gaskin Drive.
“The Weber Road corridor continues to attract a variety of development,” Mayor John Noak said in the release. “We continue to have a lot of interest along this corridor and anticipate additional development announcements coming soon.”
Also, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites off Normantown Road is expected to open in the fall. The renovation of the other McDonald’s near the Weber-Normantown Road intersection should be completed by mid-July. There are also plans for a Jiffy Lube near the Aldi at Airport and Weber roads.
