Just for clarification
To the Editor:
Throughout the recent impeachment hearings, Americans were forced to listen to Republicans make inaccurate statements pertaining to the results of the Mueller probe into the Trump administration and their connection(s) to the Russian interference in the 2016 election. Often, we would hear these blowhard Republicans state that the investigation was “useless,” a “a big dud,” “didn’t accomplish anything” or was a “waste of taxpayers’ money,” etc ...
I would like to remind those of you who are not keeping track that Robert Mueller and his team brought 199 criminal counts, 37 indictments to individuals/businesses and, so far, put six persons in jail. Imagine, many of Trump’s closest allies are currently serving time. Hmmmm…
Trump himself has been ordered to pay back $2 million for defrauding his own charity. Further, Trump was fined $25 million for defrauding students after his failed Trump University sham. Hmmmm …
Many criminals in our nation’s history were under investigation for many years before they were finally taken down for tax evasion and other tax related crimes. Where are Trump’s tax returns? Hmmmm …
Trump is also being investigated for paying political hush money to a porn star and a playboy model. Hmmmm …
I close with a question: How can any American even consider Trump is innocent of anything when he has 1. surrounded himself with criminals; 2. been ordered to pay $25 million for fraud; 3. been fined $2 million for cheating his own charity and 4. refused to surrender his tax returns? Am I the only one who finds these facts remarkable? Yet, there are Republicans who still support this clown! What is wrong with these people? Is Fox News now broadcasting to persons who live under a rock?
American patriots must end this disgraceful presidency. In November, vote American, not Republican!
Economy backed by borrowing
To the Editor:
I don’t often agree with you Ray Malmgren, but I can’t argue with the fact that the economy looks pretty good at the moment.
The question is why? Just as any moron can go into debt up to their eyeballs to temporarily live a lavish lifestyle, it’s pretty easy to keep this economy going by borrowing somewhere north of a trillion dollars a year from places like China and Canada to pump into it.
So what do we do when the note comes due?
I also agree that the Lefties want to buy votes by giving away free “stuff,” but make no mistake about it, the righties are buying votes also with money they don’t have. Both policies are wrong, and I’m afraid will eventually lead to a sad ending.
