The annual Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce Education Committee's Top 25 Student banquet was held on Monday April 8 at 176 West.
The Top 25 students from all three high schools Joliet Catholic, Joliet Central and Joliet West were honored. The event was sponsored by many businesses and the four Joliet Service clubs, Joliet Exchange, Joliet Kiwanis, Joliet Lions and the Joliet Rotary.
After this year's banquet, the chamber has honored 900 students for their educational accomplishments. “The banquet has been modeled after the Rotary Clubs similar events in Lockport and Plainfield,” said
Mark Griglione, event chairman and emcee for the evening.
With their resumes being read that evening by their perspective principals, the Joliet community feels proud and looks forward to hearing great things in the future from these Joliet students.
