Regaining Independence with Our Lady of Angels

SPONSORED

Making the decision to move into a senior living community can be challenging and stressful. Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home (OLA) offers seniors a chance to regain their independence in a secure, supportive community they can call home.

For seniors interested in independent living, OLA offers rooms designed for individuals or couples 65 years of age and older. Residents enjoy spacious, private rooms with bath and emergency call system. Several rooms also have a kitchenette area.

Dorothy Pazeley is a new, friendly face to OLA’s independent living wing. She and her family looked to OLA for continued care services having had a positive experience with OLA’s rehabilitation services in the past. “I am very happy here,” states Dorothy. “I was able to bring my own furniture so my room is quite homey. Also, everyone is so helpful which makes my adjustment to living here that much easier.”

Residents have the use of laundry facilities, housekeeping, linen services, three prepared delicious meals and heated garages. A scheduled transportation service to nearby appointments and shopping is available.

A variety of social activities for both group and individual enjoyment are always going on in OLA’s activity and community rooms. “Throughout the week, I attend the Monday cooking class, participate in crafts, stop in the beauty shop to get my hair done and go to Mass,” Dorothy says with a smile. “I’ve been so independent my whole life. It is an adjustment learning to ask for assistance. Hopefully in a few months, I’ll be the one helping the newcomers around OLA!”
