After a spot compression view of Chiovatero’s left breast, she was told, “We’ll hear from the doctor in two hours,” Chiovatero thought, “Well, that’s not good.”
Two hours later, Chiovatero learned she needed an ultrasound. Then Chiovatero was told she needed a surgeon and a biopsy.

Dr. Laura Ragauskaite is the medical director of the Silver Cross Breast Center.
